Paula Rosado (’79) & Maureen Kinne (’78)

This is a special note for my special friend Mo who graduated from St Mike’s in 1978 and I graduated in 1979.
After I graduated, I moved to Bergen County, New Jersey where I started my first job not far from Mo’s house.  We played tennis nightly and hung out with her large, wonderful family on the weekends in Ridgewood, New Jersey.

We saw very little of each other after we both got married and had children. In June of 2014, we got together with our mutual friend and fellow St Mike’s graduate, Joan McNamara ’79 at Half Moon restaurant on the Hudson River and then I celebrated my 35th college Reunion at the Ice House in Burlington with fellow grads a few weeks later.

On July 1, 2014, I was walking across a street and was hit in the head by a car and almost died. I was in a coma for some time and during that time, Mo went out of her way to help my family in my absence. When I was in a rehab Center after I came out of my coma, Mo was always there for me and for my family, too. She is always in touch with me and we fondly reminisce about the good times when we met in Ryan Hall at St Mike’s. It is because of friends like Maureen Kinne ‘78 that I feel loved and so fortunate to be alive and to have had a second chance at life.

Thank you Maureen and God Bless you.
