Josh and I met freshman year. We both lived on the third floor of Joyce. There was a group of us that ate together, walked to class together, worked together.
When Josh told me he liked me in November of our first year, I was shocked. He was rather introverted and I didn’t know him very well. We’d be im’ing off and on, but this really seemed to come out of nowhere. He was so honest and genuine with his confession, that despite my panic, I felt sorry for him. I decided to give him two weeks. Then I’d let him down easy.
That was a little over 17 years ago. Along the way, one crazy on-campus-chalk-themed-proposal, one wedding, 10 houses, 4 states, 10 dogs, 4 cats, 3 kids (with some extra kids through fostering at times), and lots of adventures later… and we’re still together – eating, walking, and working together.
