Love for the St. Mike’s Fire and Rescue

My St. Mike’s love story is the time I spent as a student member of the Saint Michael’s Fire and Rescue Department. It was the 70’s – we didn’t have much money, but the resourceful and tough Don Sutton kept us moving forward to what it has evolved into today. I loved my crews, being on duty, going code red (lights and sirens) down the interstate at 5 am. Providing emergency medical care and learning that there really are no limits to what you can handle.

I want to acknowledge friends who have passed on – especially Leslie O’Brien, Linda Wainer, Rose Sutton, Don Rookie Reinauer and one of my senior year roommates Colleen Doyle. They all played an integral part of my life at St. Mike’s and beyond. I also want to say Thank You to the 409ers and all the friendships that began and continue on.

Thank you St. Mike’s for the wonderful memories and lifelong friendships.
